Review

Web App development continues, as does work on Thumbprint 1.0.3. We found a couple of issues in the multiple choice creation screen that are affecting some users. Testing is underway, and I'm hopeful that we can submit our fixes to Apple before the end of the year.

Multiple Choice for the web app has been submitted for testing, and early results look promising. Search is being held up by an interdependence issue that raised it's head this week, but that should be resolved by tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we've had what feels like 4 feet of snow this week, and more coming on the weekend. Haven't seen a December like this in 20 years. It's beautiful, right up until you try to go outside and do something. Hope you're keeping warm where you are.

Goals Review

Reports 1.0 is launched. Now comes the fun part - turning it loose on some users and seeing if it breaks. I usually leave aside 3 weeks for hot fixes - usually someone finds something that got missed in QA and is either boneheaded or nasty. This is normal. Why do you think we have things like iOS 7.0.1 and Windows 8.1 (and Thumbprint 1.0.2)? Sometimes you get lucky, but I don't count on it. By the end of the month we should either be out of the woods or finished with our fixes.

In the meantime, web app development is up and running. We did some preliminary work. A few months ago, and we have some stuff that works, but mostly it's just parts on the shop floor at his point. Next week we can start talking about milestones. If you've got the app (link below) you can follow along at home.

Goal Review!

This week we filmed a spot for local news, talked with four new schools and met with a community group.  All positive, all moving forward.  Still not giving names, but there's interest and good feedback with almost everyone we talk to.  So we'll keep talking to more people.

On the content front, we're expecting the first draft of course materials for four of our classroom pilots, as well as our monstrous Grade Six Math program by the end of the week.  I am told that we are on track for this, and with our new office setup I'm excited to be able to throw stuff up on the big screen and review the material in one big group tomorrow.

Big screen, you say?  More on that tomorrow.
