Goal Review!

How did we do this week?  Let's see:

1. Our page likes are fast approaching 700.  Two months ago that number was 40.  I continue to be amazed and pleased at how many beautiful people have joined us.

2. Some good presentations this week, both in Gravenhurst and Toronto, as well as an appearance by Yours Truly at the Gravenhurst Town Council, where I spoke in favour of the town allocating funds towards attracting high-tech businesses and revitalizing the downtown core.  The town voted in favour of the motion.  Me from twenty years ago would not have believed his ears.  Me from today is simply pleased beyond belief.

It's been an exciting week on other fronts as well, but I'll save that for an upcoming post.

It really goes to show how innovative Apple is when heads of the fashion industry are stepping out to join

When I was young and just starting my venture into the employment world my Father always told me - if you're not early, you're late - and even if you're late you better be there.

Things like this are why funding for the development of technology is so crucial.

October 10th, Review

It's Thursday.  Time to look at how we've done so far.

1. Development on both the Web version of Thumbprint and the Reporting suite are proceeding very well.  Still a ways to go, but it's nice to see progress.  The iPad app took months before we had anything concrete to play with, so even being able to log in via a browser or see raw reporting data after just a few weeks makes me feel good.

2. Change up on our weekly publishing schedule.  For various reasons I've decided to move the link dump from Friday to Monday, and the editorial from Monday to Friday.  That means the editorial I didn't provide at the beginning of this week will happen tomorrow instead.  I hope this schedule will be better for you.  It will certainly be easier for me.

3. 500 likes. You made it.  I owe you one thank-you song. I have not forgotten. Watch this space.

September 26th, Review

It's difficult when you have a team that's working away efficiently and you're the one that's slowing things down, but that's been my deal this week.  I'm currently on day 8 of an incredibly nasty flu that has rendered me next to useless, and been so severe that I've had to cancel meetings, which I never do.  Fortunately I'm part of a team that is completely capable of pulling some extra weight while I lie horizontal in a feverish haze.

The goal recap:
1. 1.0.2 on the App Store.  This is done.
2. Get three new schools on board.  Still at 1, with one meeting rescheduled.  Hopefully I'll be well enough to make my Friday meeting and bring us up to 2.
3. Web login working.  This was finished late last night. Thanks Devs.

There.  Back to bed.
